My Favourite Things!

These Are a Few of My Favourite Things

Christmas has a way of slowing the world down.

Not abruptly. Not dramatically.

But gently, like someone lowering the volume of life just enough for us to hear ourselves think.

While everyone around talks about decorations, parties, and plans, I often find myself drawn to something much simpler during this season - the small things that make ordinary days feel special.

These are a few of mine....

Warm Chai on Cold Evenings

There’s something deeply comforting about holding a warm cup of chai when the air outside is cold.

Not the rushed, on-the-go kind—but the slow one. Sipped quietly. Often in the company of silence or soft conversation.

It’s in those moments that thoughts loosen, shoulders drop, and the day finally exhales.

Sunlight That Finds Its Way In
Winter sunlight feels different.
It doesn’t flood the room, it enters politely.
Through windows. Between curtains. Across floors.

Some mornings, that soft light feels like a gentle reminder: even on cold days, warmth exists.

Books That Don’t Demand to Be Finished

I love my favourite book sit beside me—half-read, bookmarked, waiting.

#GETSETGO doesn't rush me or judge me. It reminds me that not everything in life needs to be completed quickly.

Some things are meant to be returned to, slowly.

Little Giggles That Change the Mood Instantly

There are moments when a tiny smile or a sudden giggle can shift the entire energy of a room.

Fatigue disappears. Worries soften.
You realise that joy doesn’t need planning, it just arrives.

Satvic Food, Made With Care
During Christmas, I crave simplicity.

Food that nourishes. Food that feels familiar.

Not elaborate spreads, but meals prepared with attention ,the kind that makes you feel settled, not stuffed.

Quiet Walks With No Destination

Some of my favourite walks are the ones without a purpose.

No steps to count. No calls to attend.
Just movement, fresh air, and thoughts gently arranging themselves without pressure.

Moments of Reflection

Christmas naturally brings reflection.
The year that was. The lessons learned.
The people who stayed. The things that changed.

It’s not about judging the year—it’s about acknowledging it.

The Pause That Christmas Brings
For me, Christmas isn’t loud.
It isn’t about doing more.

It’s about noticing what was already there but went unseen during busy days.

The warmth. The stillness. The quiet joys.

These are a few of my favourite things.

And perhaps, in reading this, you might pause and ask yourself,  What are a few of yours?
