THE DOG WHO FORGOT THE KEYS
THE DOG WHO FORGOT THE KEYS
A dog once walked into a bakery holding a small basket and a folded piece of paper between his teeth.
The baker opened the paper, read the list written on it, packed the items mentioned and placed them in the basket.
The dog gently held the basket’s handle and walked out.
The baker, curious to know who had trained such a smart dog, stepped outside, expecting to see an owner waiting.
There was no one.
He noticed the dog walking towards the bus stop. Intrigued, he followed him.
The dog hopped onto a bus.
The baker did too.
At the fifth stop, the dog got down. The baker followed him through a lane until the dog reached a small house.
The dog dropped the basket carefully, knocked on the door, and barked.
No response.
He went to the window and barked again.
Still nothing.
He returned to the door and barked louder.
After a few moments, a young man opened the door, looked at the dog angrily and began hitting him with a stick!
Shocked, the baker rushed forward—
“Why are you hitting this poor thing!? I have been following him. He did everything perfectly!”
The young man replied:
“You don’t know, sir. This is the second time he forgot to bring the keys.”
This story was narrated by Dr. Swati Lodha in one of her Management Mantra, Master Class.
