As the summer approaches, many of us find ourselves in the fervent pursuit of internships.

Among the eager voices I hear, "Ma'am, I have a passion for Marketing," yet too often, their grasp of the fundamentals is lacking.

Some dream of becoming writers but neglect the art of reading, leaving their linguistic prowess wanting.

So, to all the budding minds on this vibrant platform, I implore you: choose your path not solely based on passion, but on prowess.

If Interest is the spark, skill is the fuel. 

Remember, as a novice, firms seek not just enthusiasm but a foundation of knowledge, practical abilities, poise, and reliability.

I don't urge you to disregard your passions & interests , but rather, to harmonize them with your strengths.

Seek out certifications and job simulations tailored to your chosen field. 

Study job descriptions  meticulously, to bridge the gaps in your skills sets needed for the role.  Should finance beckon, master the intricacies of financial modeling ! 

And never underestimate the power of data management, a universal skill needed in any domain.

Such endeavors not only enrich your resume but boost your confidence.

If you manage to align your passions with your proficiencies, you've struck gold. 

If not, embrace the journey and learn to love the path you tread, rather than fixating on a predetermined destination.

Remember, an organization is a tapestry of business acumen. They hire  you for the value you bring, crafted through your unique skill sets

Internships serve as both sculptors of your profile and enlightening windows into the professional world.
